Recently, ACE Parking held its first ever Valet Olympics competition at the Hilton Bayfront. ACE Parking’s San Diego based hotel valets competed against each other to show off who was the most skilled group of valets. The event was organized by ACE Parking’s Sasha Bradley and Mike Wilson in an effort to create a fun, competitive challenge for ACE’s valets. “We wanted to hold an event that was fun but also challenging for our valets, which prompted them to really step up their game,” said Sasha Bradley, Director of Operations for ACE Parking’s Hotel Division.
As a result, valets were met by challenges that tested both wit and physical abilities through relay races, automobile obstacle courses, timed ticket rate calculations and memory/organization by hanging fifty key tags sitting in a bucket in numerical order as well reciting ACE Parking’s mission statement from memory. ACE Parking’s Valet Olympics are a slightly modified version of the National Valet Parking Associations annual version and proved to be a fun success for all who participated assuring the event will be coming back again next year.
